The Liquid Vent is the far end of a fluid line. When a Pump sends liquid down a Pipe, the Vent is where that liquid re-enters the world — releasing it from the Vent's own tile so it can pool, flow, or feed a machine.
The Vent looks like a passive outlet, but its output zone and its cutoff decide whether your water actually arrives. Check each as you bring a line online.
A Vent does nothing without a Pipe behind it and a Pump at the source. Put the Pump in liquid, run the Pipe to the Vent, and the line is ready to release.

The Vent covers a 4-by-4 tile, but only its central 2-by-2 squares deposit Water. Block the lower three of its four vertical layers with anything and the outlet stops entirely.

Once the Water level — or any other obstruction — reaches the third layer of the Vent's 4-by-4 footprint, the Vent stops emitting. Keep the pool below that line.

Several Pumps can feed a single Vent, and each extra Pump raises the total output — but only up to a ceiling. Past that point, adding Pumps no longer helps one Vent.

A Vent that stops releasing is almost always one of three conditions, and each has a direct fix.
When liquid fills the lower layers of the Vent's footprint, the outlet simply waits — a backed-up pool can make the whole Pipe network look dead. Drain or route the pool below the cutoff.
Only the central 2-by-2 squares release. Anything covering the lower three vertical layers kills the outlet, so clear the footprint and the Vent resumes.
One Vent can only deposit so fast. For sustained high flow, spread the load across more Vents instead of endlessly stacking Pumps on a single one.
